Take a peek...inside the shop

WELCOME... What a coincidence!
I was in the shop earlier in the week and had an email from a friend in Canada and as I was composing my response telling her about Vintage Treasure in Martinborough and the new stock in the shop, I got another email from a previous customer along with lots of photo's!! So, I thought about "a picture tells a thousand words" and so here we are .... pictures of the shop - thanks Janis for the photos you took.

The Old Postmaster's House is looking fabulous this time of the year as the lavender is still in bloom - there are bunches for sale and little $4 lavender bags for your wardrobes -  I also  burn one of the lavender scented candles I have in the shop to get the total lavender immersion!
The "Living Room" is your first view of the shop and I have now dedicated a cabinet to crystal as I love it and think that it is so under valued and under-used in our lives. Yes, it is fragile but such a joy to see and to use.

Featuring Webb and Corbett, Stuart, Tudor and others in decanters, glasses, stem ware, vases and sundae dishes. Some are sets and other individual items. Think about 6 different patterns of vintage sherry glasses for your next dinner party as dessert wine glasses - they look brilliant.

Take a closer look at the fabulous stylish pewter tea and coffee set with wooden curved handles.

Yes, it really is Selangor pewter in a set designed by Professor Gerald Benney in the 1980's.

Never used and in great condition.

Also in this room are the sewing notions, cottons, embroidery, wools and lace. I love this stuff!
Buttons are a passion of mine and I am gradually getting them sorted and ready for sale, will post more info on buttons soon.
Email me if you are looking for a special colour or design.

Moving into the first "bedroom" I have a selection of vintage linens, crochet, head scarves, baby dresses, hats, fabulous furs and handbags.

Now to some more serious stuff: - kitchenalia.

One of the most wonderful things about 1950 style houses such as the Old Postmaster's House are their kitchens, and this one is untouched
(apart from the fact I took all the doors off!) and full of great vintage kitchen ware. $9 - $22

I cant close until I show a little of the vintage china and where better to start than with blue and white.
Featured in the dresser in the "dining room" massed blue and white looks brilliant.
Also in the shop at the moment is an unusual 48 piece set made in Spain, a complete dinner and tea set, understated cream and greys and quite elegant. $325

And time to leave...through the door into the garden where non-shoppers can relax with a magazine, or kids and dogs can play in the garden.

Would love to see you in the store when you are next in Martinborough,
or look out for my new Internet Shop coming soon - busy taking pictures and getting lots of lovely items ready for sale!

Thanks - email me by clicking HERE for more information about any items shown, if you are not local you can direct deposit or pay through Paypal and I will mail nationally and internationally.
